Yet another Atlanta New Year’s Eve show: the Drive-By Truckers

If you're planning on being in the Atlanta area for New Year's Eve, you want to go to a concert, and you can't find one…well, you're just not looking hard enough.

As each band's plans for the turn of the calendar trickle in, a bunch have already announced Atlanta shows.  Widespread Panic will be taking its normal spot in Philips Arena.  Derek Trucks, his wife Susan Tedeschi, and their respective bands have graduated from the Variety Playhouse to the Fox Theatre.  Sound Tribe Sector 9 will be back at the Tabernacle.

Now, the Drive-By Truckers have claimed the Variety Playhouse on the 12/30 -31 with opening act Centro-Matic.  They'll be closing out their year in Atlanta following a Thanksgiving show in Birmingham on 11/25 and their annual benefit for Nuci's Space in Athens on 11/3-4.
