With Anderson East, the Muscle Shoals sound is alive and well.

Opening act, Savannah Conley started the evening with a country punk feel and a voice that rivals Mazzy Star, revving the crowd up and ready for a good time.

On the day of the Brett Kavanaugh ruling, Jason Isbell rolled into Cary, North Carolina with a very strong message “Just Vote.” At the registration booth a sign that read “Registration Day,” a play on The Drive-by Truckers’s song “Decoration Day”.

With the release of the new album just 2 weeks away, “The Magpie Salute” took the stage with the presence of a band ready to raise the spirits of the blues men before them. Rich Robinson and Marc Ford are seamless in their volleys back and forth. Vocalist John Hogg’s voice is powerful and comforting at the same time. The set was heavy with new songs.
