Phish, 8/15/11

UIC Pavilion
Chicago, IL
August 15, 2011

Making a triumphant return into the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Pavilion for the first time since 1998, Phish marched into the only indoor venue that they would call home this summer for a three night stand before heading back west to close the books (thus far) on Phish 2011. With geographically appropriate numbers (ZZ Top’s “Jesus Just Left Chicago”), blistering jams (“Sand” > “Light”), a debut of “Babylon Baby” and the incredible eye-candy (courtesy of Chris Kuroda) bouncing around the room, the boys got things well underway for what would be a fantastic three nights in Chi-Town.
