Panic announces summer tour, new album plans

In the midst of a return engagement to their hometown of Athens, Georgia, Widespread Panic has announced their 2007 summer tour.  After festival dates at Wakarusa and Bonnaroo, they'll head west for a run at Red Rocks before hitting California.  They'll then head back across the country and after a few Midwest dates will hit the Northeast before ending the run in North Carolina.

In May, the band will also head to producer Terry Manning's Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas to start working on their tenth studio album, tentatively schedules for a Fall '07 release.  This will be the first release with new guitarist Jimmy Herring.
