Old Crow Medicine Show & The Felice Brothers
February 15, 2009
Minglewood Hall has been a long time coming for Memphis – a mid-sized venue that’s a great place to see a show. From the huge bars to the gargantuan bathrooms (toilets as far as the eye can see – no lines!), it only took one show for the new bullding in Midtown to generate excitement around the Memphis music community.
On February 15, the room hosted its first concert, the Felice Brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show (who were on their last show of the tour), in front of 1300 rowdy, ready fans, and both the room and the bands delivered on the vast promise they both hold.
The Felice Brothers played a rowdy opening set that featured guest spots from most of OCMS, and then gave way to the headliners. By the time Old Crow went on, the room was teeming with anticipiation and the band definitely delivered, letting it all loose on their last time on stage before the tour ends.
