Melvin Seals and JGB, 3/17/12

Melvin Seals and JGB
Brooklyn Bowl
March 17, 2012
New York City, NY

Melvin Seals smiled his way through this night, the second of two, with JGB at the Brooklyn Bowl.

Rolling through a catalog that was largely filled with covers, many of the tunes played in this day and age have become far more associated with the JGB front man founder, Jerry Garcia, than any preceding player as Jerry Garcia Band albums have sold far more copies since Garcia’s passing than they did while he was still with us on Earth.

For his part, Seals is doing what he can to keep the splendid sound alive for generations of old and perhaps more important, for generations that never had the opportunity to stumble into the night and out to a JGB gig.
