When the Experience Hendrix tour rolls through town, it presents the opportunity of a lifetime: getting to hear classic tunes from the man most often referred to as the greatest guitarist of all time, Jimi Hendrix, played by an eclectic mix of greats who provide their own subtle twists to the numbers.
Gracing the stage at Atlanta’s beautiful Fox Theatre was a jaw dropping cast, including: Buddy Guy, Robert Randolph, Keb’ Mo’, Janelle Monae, Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford, Dweezil Zappa, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Eric Gales, Slide Brothers, Chris Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble,Â Mato Nanji of Indigenous and Billy Cox, the only surviving member of both The Jimi Hendrix Experience and the Band of Gypsys
