Last Friday night a heatwave of rolled in to New York City’s Brooklyn Bowl on a cold night. The heatwave came in the form of a progressive and psychedelic bluegrass double header with Cornmeal and Hot Buttered Rum. Naturally, there were a massive amount of sit ins and eventual “joint set” for the encore wherein the entire Hot Buttered Rum band returned to the stage with Cornmeal for “Be Kind Boys” and the bluegrass standard, “Will the Circle be Unbroken.”

Vernon Webb was at the show to capture the evening’s happenings through his lens.
