Brett Dennen announces his summer headlining tour in support of his fourth studio album Loverboy out April 12th through Dualtone Records. The tour kicks off on May 5th at Fitzgerald’s in Houston, TX and continues through June 25th with a show at Fox Theatre in Oakland, CA. Dennen will also play prestigious venues such as Webster Hall in NYC and Moore Theater in Seattle, WA. See below for full itinerary.
Dennen’s latest album comes in the wake of his critically acclaimed catalogue. NPR has said, “The first time you hear Brett Dennen, it’s his voice that stops you short and makes you pay attention.” Rolling Stone named Dennen one of their “Artists To Watch” and Entertainment Weekly said, “Big talent with a young face and an old soul.”
Loverboy is already receiving early commercial success as the album’s first single “Sydney (I’ll Come Running)” continues to move up the Triple A charts with more than 30 top market stations spinning the track including KCRW-Los Angeles, WXRT-Chicago, KFOG-San Francisco, KMTT-Seattle, WRNR-Baltimore and KINK-Portland. Dennen will also appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 21st, 2011, marking the album’s national TV debut.
For his headlining tour, Dennen has teamed up with Eventful, Inc to give fans the opportunity to “demand” a VIP soundcheck experience in their town. Three cities will win, however all fans will be entered to win an exclusive one on one hang with Brett at their show. Details at http://eventful.com/
Fans also have a chance to secure tickets early through Ticketmaster’s pre-sale starting February 8th at 10:00 AM local time and ending on February 10th at 10:00 PM local time.
Those that purchase Loverboy during the presale will receive an advance download of Dennen’s new single “Sydney (I’ll Come Running)” and will have the chance to win Brett’s handwritten lyrics to one of the 13 tracks from the new album. The first 300 purchasers to redeem their codes for the single will automatically receive an autographed copy of the album.
