With Anderson East, the Muscle Shoals sound is alive and well.

Opening act, Savannah Conley started the evening with a country punk feel and a voice that rivals Mazzy Star, revving the crowd up and ready for a good time.

Anderson East strolled onto the stage and picked up his guitar, starting with the slow jam “King for a Day,”  a pleasant surprise.

East’s voice echoes Wilson Pickett and Otis Redding, and the night was full of the crowd singing and dancing. The electricity of this show verified that gut-wrenching, soul-filling, heartfelt music is alive and kicking!
