10,000 Lakes Festival adds new bands, launches Cosmic Break tour

Held July 18 – 21 at the scenic Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, the fifth annual 10,000 Lakes Festival (10KLF) announces additional confirmed artists for this summer’s event.  Supplementing an already diverse lineup of talent from the improvisational music scene, 10KLF is proud to welcome:

The Disco Biscuits
Keller Williams
New Riders of the Purple Sage
Pnuma Trio
God Johnson
Mr. Blotto
The Burnin' Smyrnans
The Heavy Pets

Other bands will still be added in the coming months; the 10,000 Lakes Festival lineup already includes Bob Weir & RatDog, Trey Anastasio, Umphrey's McGee, moe., Gov't Mule, Little Feat, The Derek Trucks Band, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Everyone Orchestra, Trampled By Turtles, WookieFoot, and Moses Mayes.

To include the region’s top independent and unsigned talent, 10KLF announces the Cosmic Break Tour. Interested bands can submit their music to perform at one of a series of ten regional showcases where one band at each tour stop wins a performance slot at the festival.  Bands outside the region can submit to the Cosmic Break Online Voting Booth where fan votes determine the top three bands outside of the regional showcases that get to play the festival.
